The AKF Flying Dragons would like to congratulate all the competitors who attended the Spring 2008 American Kyuki-Do Federation Midwest Area Tournament held at Huntley Park DIstrict gym in Huntley, IL. Schools from all across Minnesota, Illinois, Iowa, and Wisconsin sent approximately two hundred fifty competitors to the tournament, held Sunday, March 16.
Eight students from the AKF Flying Dragons competed. The tournament had competitive events in traditional open-handed forms, weapon forms, free-fighting (sparring), and board breaking. These competitors brought home Fourteen trophies between them with eight being firsts.
Congratulations to all the participants for their efforts and commitment to improve their skills. No matter how they placed, they are all winners!
